Rafael Figueroa, Esq.
Founder and President, Figueroa Law Group (FLG)
"I know what it feels like to face uncertainty in a new country — that’s why I founded FLG: to provide more than legal representation. I wanted to create a space where clients are seen, heard, and guided toward peace of mind and success."
Rafael Figueroa, Esq. is the founder and president of FLG, a legal practice proudly serving individuals, families, and businesses across New York and New Jersey since 1999.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Tulane University School of Law, Rafael’s path to law was shaped by a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and global perspectives. Before entering law school, he lived in Spain, and while at law school, he completed international study abroad programs and internships in France, Belgium, and Germany, experiences that continue to influence his cross-border and immigration work today.
Rafael began his legal career on Wall Street, where he spent five years advising corporate clients on complex, international transactions and compliance matters. While working in the fast-paced financial sector, he also volunteered in community legal programs — an experience that reignited his commitment to helping people navigate the legal challenges of everyday life. That passion led him to establish FLG, built on a foundation of trust, clarity, and service.
With more than two decades of experience, Rafael brings a unique blend of strategic insight and genuine compassion to his practice, offering practical solutions in the following legal areas: immigration, real estate, estate planning, family, and bankruptcy.
Outside the office, Rafael has a love for outdoor sports, having done extreme sports like skydiving and technical scuba diving; he enjoys as well cycling, playing tennis, traveling, and cooking with his wife and their two teenage children. A lifelong learner and community advocate, he continues to balance his professional leadership with a personal philosophy grounded in curiosity, resilience, and care for others.
